  • 2015 Cresta Ridge Pinot Noir Photo
    2015 Cresta Ridge Pinot Noir
2015 Cresta Ridge Pinot Noir Our harmonious and polished Cresta Ridge Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard farmed by master vineyard manager Ulises Valdez. The vineyard lies in the Green Valley sub-appellation of western Sonoma County, where fog drifts across coveted Gold Ridge soil. Good soil drainage means the vines struggle a bit, but the result can be pure grace. This stunner is highly romantic and floral. Soft tannins dance across the entire palate, held in check by the piquancy of pepper and bright red fruit. Perfumed yellow rose petal looms over violet, mushroom and cedar. Huckleberry and ripe alpine strawberry mellow to cherry, with delicate acidity carrying through the finish. 2014 vintage rated 92 by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate VITICULTURAL AREA: Green Valley of Russian River Valley TERRAIN: Gentle west-facing slope SOIL: Gold Ridge sandy loam CLONES: 115, 777 CASES PRODUCED: 264 ABOUT SINGLE-VINEYARD WINES A vineyard designate wine is crafted with meticulous farming and artisan winemaking techniques to capture the essence of that vineyard, that year. 2016 Ivywood Chardonnay

Less than 15 mi from the Pacific Ocean as the crow flies, the Ivywood vineyard is heavily influenced by the same natural forces that influence our Northern California coastline.  The vineyard sits at 800 ft, with multiple row aspects, creating complexity and character.  Due to its proximity to the coast, the vines struggle every year to ripen, and as a result, waiting for the right time to pick can be quite painful!  That being said, our patience is almost always rewarded, and although the Chardonnay is always one of our last picks of the year, its always one of our most interesting wines.

    2016 Sun Chardonnay

A rare white wine in our Celestial Lineup, the Sun is a blend of Chardonnay vineyards throughout our most favorite region in the Russian River Valley, the Green Valley.  Climate here is defined by the fog, blowing East through the Petaluma Gap and eventually settling in the Valley.  This creates cool mornings, but burning off and giving way to sunshine in the afternoon.  A diurnal dance that keeps acid pretty and flavors delicious.

    2016 Svengali Syrah

Svengali Syrah is a labor of love. A highly finessed barrel aging program results in a smooth, decadent wine. The unsung hero (varietally speaking), Syrah has the structure of a great cabernet and bright fruit of a zinfandel, swirled into one and embellished with meatiness and texture.

  • 2017 Earth Pinot Noir Photo
    2017 Earth Pinot Noir

Crafting the Earth is always a lesson in hedonism. Common knowledge dictates Pinot Noir live in the cooler climates off the coast, with the influence of the Ocean dominating its terroir.  We generally respect that dogma, but for this particular blend we thought it would be interesting to do things a little bit differently.  So a hypothesis was created: How does meticulously farmed Pinot Noir grow in slightly less cool climates, particularly the more eastern portions of the Russian River?

  • 2017 Moon Pinot Noir Photo
    2017 Moon Pinot Noir

Such as the moon is influenced by its proximity to the earth and the stars, our Moon Pinot Noir blend is blissfully lost somewhere between the Sonoma Coast and the more inland areas of the Appellation.  To achieve this stylistically, we merry floral and earth elements with fruit and tannin.  The result is quite sexy, with racy acidity and layered complexity.  Chocolate, raspberry, and cinnamon fill the aromatics.  The palate flavors move seamlessly, with an abundance of dark, juicy fruits and clove.  The finish is surprising in its length…and is possibly the most intriguing piece of the entire experience.

  • 2017 San Remo Pinot Noir Photo
    2017 San Remo Pinot Noir

San Remo is always one of our first vineyards in the barn. There is no well on the property, so the vines must fight and struggle. The setting crop is always light, and this wine almost always has powerful tannins due to the afternoon sun, forcing the grape skins to grow strong and durable. If you're patient enough to wait and let the skins soften, the resulting wine has fabulously soft, but powerful tannin expression.
