The single-vineyard Knowlton Farms Chardonnay is organically grown on a beautiful farm in the sought-after Green Valley region, a Russian River sub-appellation in western Sonoma County. Here, fog drifts across Gold Ridge soil, a fine sandy loam that is the remains of an ancient inland sea.
The 2015 Knowlton Farms Chardonnay hits the ground running with a gregarious nose of warm apricots, honey-drizzled pears and spiced apples with wafts of ginger, brioche and cashews. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of spicy stone fruit flavors and a pleasant oiliness to the texture, finishing long.
Drink now through 2025.
