The new vintage of VML Gewürztraminer is very dry and extremely delicious. True to its nature, the Gewürztraminer has a lovely bouquet of floral notes. The nose is full of jasmine, honeysuckle and honeydew. On the palate flavors of pineapple, key lime and tangerine zest mingle together. The wine finishes dry with a crisp acidity.
This new release has been a huge hit for our visitors and staff alike! This wine is crisp, clean and refreshing. On the nose hints of grapefruit, lemon verbena, and fresh lime peel greet the nose. The palate bursts with key lime and finishes with a crisp and balanced acidity.
Complex aromas of licorice, rosewater, jasmine tea, rhubarb pie, savory mushrooms, and sassafras entice the nose. Candied strawberry, cherry-cola and vanilla bean are complimented by a brilliant acidity and a juicy lingering finish. This wine is barrel aged for 9 months in French oak; 40% new, 30% once used and 30% neutral barrel. Fruit comes from the heart of the Green Valley and our Floodgate property a few miles southeast of the winery.

Stars is delicate, velvety, rich and layered. We are wild about this wine!! Aromas of sweet flowers like violets and lavender greet the nose. These quickly give way to more fruit qualities such as black cherry, hazelnut and ripe plum. The finish is reminiscent of dried and crushed rosebud, sandalwood, spice and finishes incredibly long.
A blend of fruit from our own Grist Vineyard and other great sites, one in the eastern hills and another on the valley floor. The wine is comprised of 66.3% Zinfandel, 19.3% Petite Sirah, 14.4% Syrah and is aged in French oak for 10 months. Intricate aromas of blueberries, ripe plum, crushed blackberries, acai, nicotiana and licorice mingle together in the glass. The palate follows the nose with more blueberry, chocolate, sassafras, clove and smoked paprika. A supple wine with soft tannins.
From the warm valley's of Dry Creek, comes the 2012 Bradford Mountain Zinfandel. Everything we love about Dry Creek Valley fruit comes to life in this wine. Blackberry and spice leap from the glass with a concentrated palate of raspberry. An exceptionally powerful wine and so well balanced the final impression is in elegance. The finish bursts with rich flavors of blackberry and ripe boysenberry with hints of white pepper and sweet tobacco.
The Grist Vineyard sits atop Bradford Mountain in Dry Creek Valley at about 1100 feet above the valley floor. With full, even sun coverage, this vineyard produces a Zinfandel that showcases a great depth of flavor with a slightly lighter body. The 2012 Grist Zinfandel is right on par with flavors of blackberry compote, lavender, dried cranberries and a hint of spice.
Inticing aromas of ripe plum and dusty leather mingle in the glass. These are highlighted by notes of sweet lilac and bright cherry. This is not your typical Syrah - it is soft and robust at once! The palate has baked cherry, blueberry and currant flavors. The tannins are soft and slightly grippy. Will age beautifully over the next 4 years.
El Grandote means the big one - and this wine is certainly big and bold. This wine is made of 100% Zinfandel grapes from our Grist Vineyard and is fortified with brandy to come up with a traditional Port-style wine. The nose is reminiscent of ripe plum, cassis and Marashino Cherries. On the palate you are met with more sweet cherry flavors, Huckleberries, truffle and chocolate.
