The single-vineyard Knowlton Farms Chardonnay is organically grown on a beautiful farm in the sought-after Green Valley region, a Russian River sub-appellation in western Sonoma County. Here, fog drifts across Gold Ridge soil, a fine sandy loam that is the remains of an ancient inland sea.
Knowlton Farms Chardonnay is creamy yet crisp. Fragrant ripe pear, baked apple and caramel are followed by a rich palate of lemon, spiced cider, marjoram and pineapple. Wine Advocate heralds "notes of white peaches, clotted cream, orange blossoms and lemon tart over hints of marzipan, cedar and brioche... opulent stone fruit and savory flavors, with a satiny texture and long, toasty finish."
