A ravishing portrait of our coastal-most vineyards. The Stars Pinot Noir is soil-tinged and pretty, yet you'll find Virginia's fingerprints of ripeness and power. Notes include red cherry, pine, rosewood, mushroom, eucalyptus, pink peppercorn, and blackberry.
"It's an incredibly deep and complex wine, for being as pretty as it is. And it's so silky and smooth on the palate," says winemaker Virginia. "I get a strong licorice element; it's really fun. And the finish is incredible." A confectionary bouquet is tinged with the unexpected aroma of bright mandarin orange. Then, layers of blueberry, blackberry and black currant mingle with chocolate, exotic sandalwood and dry redwood bark. Supple tannins marry seamlessly with balanced acidity.

Barrel Selections are blended from the best barrels of each sub-region. In this way, we offer a walk through the Russian River Valley. Earth Pinot Noir conveys the dark fruits and firm structure of the warm Middle Reach area. Moon Pinot Noir aspires to capture the balanced layering of black and red fruits in Green Valley. Sun Chardonnay displays the bright warmth of Green Valley's small golden clusters. Finally, Stars Pinot Noir is blended for coastal flavors of soil and perfume.
